“Celebrate” (LoliRock Behind the Scenes - Clip #04)
Ah, “Celebrate”. This is Jean-Louis’ favorite song and clip from season 1.
This song was a little more “electro” compared to the previous ones, and for a while, we weren’t sure we should keep it. “Too different”, “Too adult”, etc… However, Jean-Louis already knew how he wanted it to be staged, so he wanted it… and he was very convincing ! Especially as he wanted Talia to be the lead singer for this clip, instead of Iris for once. As you can see, he kind of won in the end. ;)
The outfits designed for this clip are both loved and hated at the same time. Loved because they’re gorgeous, especially the new haircuts. Hated because they’re a nightmare to draw and animate : see all these stars ? Now you can cry.
Anyway, Celebrate was definitely a turning point in LoliRock’s music, and we wanted to dig more in this direction for season 2 songs and clips.
